Discover the new SAGA turkey, from a French eco-friendly food value-chain: Turkeys are raised without antibiotic treatment from the hatching stage and by using algae to reinforce their immune system!

La Trinitaise, a food processor in cut and processed turkey meat products, is well-known from 1983 as a reputable supplier of turkey meat. Since 2018, It offers to its clients the first turkey raised without antibiotic treatment since the hatching stage, the SAGA Turkey. This sustainable concept is a team-work fruit for an entire new business from sea to table. Indeed, turkey is supported at every stage of its development by marine algae-based products to reinforce its immune system and kidney and liver functioning. The farmer is replaced in the center of the approach and looks after the animal welfare. The SAGA farming program takes also part in the decrease of antibiotic use as a combat against antibiotic resistance. This approach take part into: - Put forward a healthy resource, sustainable and renewable: local marine algae and from Brittany. This natural resource brings to animals a support to their immune system, a securing feed and a better digestive welfare. - Promote family farming by a higher income for farmer’s involvement in the approach. - Ensure an antibiotic-free farming from the hatching stage and a traceability A new range answering to societal expectations branded by Merci Les Algues®.

Emulsea® is an algae-based ingredient providing solutions to current food trends, mainly linked to the formulation of clean-label, vegan or allergen-free emulsion. Emulsea® can be used in a wide range of applications: sauces and dressings, bakery, vegan, dairy or meat products. For example, Emulsea® allows to formulate emulsified sauces or ice cream without additives or allergen ingredient. It can replace egg yolk in several applications.
